What I've done so far: - Research the new Day Date 36 and 40. - Try on each to see how it feels. With the DW installed on the movement, rotate and temp stick the DWO to what looks good, then put the actual dial (or a similar spare dial) over it and see how it looks. Change the date with the crown to all dates.

Hello everyone, I’m planning on purchasing a Platinum DD and so far I think the new ice blue Roman dial is my top pick. I haven’t seen any incomings on here and was just wondering if anyone on the forum has purchased or seen one in person yet. The nice thing about Rolex, especially 36 mm rolexes is that it is pretty easy to change the dial. Regarding older 36 mm day dates, the biggest issue is bracelet stretch. This is one of the reasons it went from hollow end links to solid. So I mix up some epoxy and sparingly apply to the retaining ring, position it on the dial and center it. I sparingly apply it to the datewheel and then position the overlay. I find that lining up the middle of the three with the stem gives me the best result. Let it dry overnight. So anybody wanting to do this build with a current dial from Raffles will need to use day and date wheel overlays to make it work. You can see how the day window in OP's dial cuts into the minute/second track in a way that the gen dial and Raffles' current Day-Date dials do not.
